In a peaceful village nestled among majestic mountains, green fields, and fragrant flowers, lived Kayal—a girl of striking beauty and brilliant mind. Even the peacocks and nature seemed envious of her charm. Born into poverty, she became the first graduate in her family, a beacon of hope. Her father, a laborer, was their only breadwinner, and her mother ran the home with the little they had. Kayal lovingly cared for her younger sister, who struggled with mental health issues, becoming a second mother to her. Her father worked day and night as a daily wage laborer to ensure Kayal received a good education. Kayal, in turn, studied diligently and graduated as the top student in her college, making her parents proud.
Then one day, her father said, "Tomorrow we'll apply for your higher studies." overwhelmed with happiness, Kayal slept with a heart full of dreams. But the next morning, a sudden tragedy struck. Her father became paralyzed. Kayal was heartbroken—The very hands and feet that worked tirelessly for us are now bound within these four walls! Kayal struggled to cope due to her father's illness, dependent mother, and disabled sister. As medical costs rose, her friend Tamilarasi helped by applying for jobs on her behalf.
Several painful and difficult months passed. Then, one day, Tamilarasi brought joyful news: "Kayal, you've got a job in Qatar! You need to leave immediately." Kayal leaped in happiness, but soon her joy turned to worry, "What will I do for the airfare and expenses?" she cried. Tamilarasi comforted her, "Your uncle is well-off, right? Let's go ask him for help." The two went to Kayal's uncle's house to ask for support. But the uncle harshly said, "You're a girl. How can you go to abroad alone and work?" Tamilarasi calmly responded, "Qatar is a very safe and respectful country for women. It welcomes and uplifts those who come to work. If she goes there, she can earn to support her father and sister. We kindly seek your help." But the uncle replied coldly, "I won't give any money. Send her father and useless sister to a hostel. She and her mother can work in my house for food." To this, Kayal responded firmly, "My sister is a God's child. God knows who will take care of her well, and that is why he has given her to us. I will take care of her and my father till the very end."
We were not born to fall; We were born to rise., We will let our strength shine. We won't just survive— We will thrive.
With those words, Kayal walked out of the house, with Tamilarasi. Tamilarasi then arranged the necessary funds with the help of her friends and made sure Kayal could travel safely to Qatar. Kayal, once a caterpillar bound by poverty, had become a butterfly, flying free across borders—powered by courage, education, and the kindness of friends. The sky, once a distant dream, now carried her forward—to hope, to a future she had once only imagined.
Long live India! May Qatar's fame continue to grow!
